Convention Center Area Command

The Convention Center Area Command (CCAC) opened in November of 2008 and was funded by the Las Vegas Convention & Visitors Authority.CCAC is staffed with 180 commissioned employees and 16 civilian employees.
The Convention Center Area Command covers a 6.1 square mile area which includes the Las Vegas Strip Corridor. Its geographical boundaries include Sahara to the north, I-15 to the west, Russell Road and McCarran Airport to the south and Swenson to the east.
The population density of the Strip Corridor is the highest of any jurisdiction within the LVMPD. In 2011, the Strip Corridor had 38,927,708 visitors that filled 150,161 hotel rooms at an 83.8% occupancy rate. That’s an average of 3,244,059 visitors per month.
