Items of interest for Northwest Area Command Block Captains:

1. The Winter Neighborhood Watch Bulletin has been mailed out and should be arriving at your home the week of Thanksgiving.
2. Holiday Safety information is available for you to share with your group. Please call 828-4305, or email k2482p@lvmpd.com, to request copies to distribute.
3. Many people leave home during the holidays. Please connect with your participants and put a “holiday watch” in effect to look after those homes that may be empty during the holidays. >Be on the lookout for suspicious activity in your neighborhoods. Many outside holiday decorations are stolen this time of year. Burglars are also looking for targets of opportunity because our homes are filled with gifts and goodies.
4. Be on the lookout for impaired drivers. Many people attend holiday parties this time of year and may be drinking and driving. Be aware and buckle up! Report any possibly impaired driver to 9-1-1 if you see the vehicle on the roadway.
