The LVMPD Domestic Violence Unit consists of eighteen detectives, two sergeants and one investigative specialist. We handle approximately 26,000 cases of domestic violence related crimes a year. Our mission is to end domestic violence in our community. To accomplish this, the Domestic Violence Unit takes a three-fold approach: train the police officers, educate the public, and investigate domestic related crimes.
