The LVMPD offers a College Internship Program for current college students. Interns are exposed to the many aspects of the department and its operations. We have assigned interns to Missing Persons, Criminalistics, Sexual Assault, Property Crimes, Gang Crimes, Patrol Area Commands, Abuse Neglect and Domestic Violence just to name a few.
Interested students must complete an application and participate in a background investigation process with the LVMPD, 90 days prior to the start of the internship semester. Applications may be picked up or requested from the Personnel Bureau located at 101 Convention Center Dr. Suite P200 Las Vegas, NV 89109 or via phone by calling (702) 828-5601 or via email at recruitment@lvmpd.com. In addition to a completed application, the intern applicant must produce, at the time of the background interview, the following original documents such as high school transcripts, drivers license, birth certificate, social security card, proof of enrollment (must receive credit(s) for course taken), letter of intent from your college, proof of name change (if applicable), DD214 (if applicable), and marriage license (if applicable).
