Update – Suspect Arrested

Through the course of the investigation, detectives identified 36-year-old Alejandro Cisneros as the suspect in this case. On July 24, 2024, the Criminal Apprehension Team located Cisneros and took him into custody. He was booked into the Clark County Detention Center for open murder.

The Criminal Apprehension Team (CAT) is a multi-jurisdictional task force led by the FBI and staffed in the LVMPD’s Major Violators Bureau. It is comprised of FBI, LVMPD, Henderson and North Las Vegas Police Departments.

On June 28, 2024, at approximately 11:27 p.m., LVMPD officers responded to the area of East Yuma Avenue and South Frank Street where they located an unresponsive female in the roadway. Medical personnel responded and pronounced the female deceased on scene.

Officers at the scene believed the female was a victim of a homicide and requested the LVMPD Homicide Section.

Through the course of the investigation, detectives determined the victim was in a verbal altercation with an unknown person in an SUV while on the hood of the car. The SUV then came to several abrupt stops causing the female to fall off and hit her head on the roadway. The SUV then fled the area prior to officers’ arrival. This is an ongoing investigation.

The identification of the victim, as well the cause and manner of death, will be released by the Clark County Coroner’s Office.
