On December 9, 2024, a representative from the Clark County Coroner/Medical Examiner's office informed the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department's Collision Investigation Section that the pedestrian involved in this collision succumbed to the injuries she sustained on November 24, 2024, and was pronounced deceased at UMC.

The pedestrian's death marks the 152nd traffic-related fatality in the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department's jurisdiction for the year 2024. This collision remains under investigation by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department's Collision Investigation Section.

***Original Press Release***

On November 24, 2024, at approximately 11:18 a.m., a critical injury vehicle versus pedestrian collision occurred on W. Post Road west of S. Fort Apache Road. Evidence at the collision scene and witness statements indicated a pedestrian was crossing W. Post Road west of S. Fort Apache Road outside of a marked or implied crosswalk in an unknown direction. A Toyota 4-Runner was traveling westbound W. Post Road west of S. Fort Apache Road after making a left turn from northbound S. Fort Apache Road. The pedestrian entered the path of the Toyota and a collision occurred when the front of the Toyota struck the pedestrian.

Arriving medical personnel transported the pedestrian to UMC Trauma for advanced medical care where she remains in critical condition. The driver of the Toyota remained at the collision scene and did not display any signs of impairment.

This collision remains under investigation by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department's Collision Investigation Section.
