On January 29, 2025, at approximately 12:17 p.m., a vehicle versus motorcycle fatal traffic collision occurred on S. Buffalo Drive and Cool Pasture Avenue. Evidence at the collision scene and witness statements indicated a 2025 Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle was traveling northbound on S. Buffalo Drive approaching Cool Pasture Avenue. A 2018 Toyota Rav4 was traveling southbound on S. Buffalo Drive at Cool Pasture Avenue preparing to make a left turn. The Toyota Rav4 began to make the left turn to go eastbound on Cool Pasture Avenue and entered the path of the Kawasaki Ninja. A collision occurred when the front of the Kawasaki Ninja struck the passengers side of the Toyota Rav4. The rider was separated from the Kawasaki Ninja and landed in the roadway.

Arriving medical personnel began life-saving measures to the rider but despite their efforts he succumbed to the injuries he sustained from the collision and was pronounced deceased at the collision scene. The driver of the Toyota Rav4 remained at the collision scene and did not show any signs of impairment.

The motorcyclist's death marks the 15th traffic-related fatality in the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department's jurisdiction for 2025. This collision remains under investigation by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department's Collision Investigation Section.
