 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

On January 30, 2025, at approximately 8:27 a.m., LVMPD Communications received a call reference a disturbance in front of a business located in a 3100 block of East Sunset Road. Numerous individuals had gathered in front of a business and were visibly upset. Arriving officers contacted the individuals and learned they had been victims of a fraudulent scam.

LVMPD Financial Crimes detectives responded and took over the investigation.

The victims were instructed to report to a business located in the 3100 block of East Sunset Road to fill out an application and pay a fee. Once the money was collected, a future interview date was provided.
