***Motorcycle versus fixed object traffic collision resulting in the death of the motorcyclist marks the 40th traffic-related fatality in the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department's jurisdiction for the year 2025.***

On March 28, 2025, at approximately 12:44 a.m., a fatal traffic collision occurred on Spencer Street and Santa Anita Drive. Evidence at the collision scene and a witness statement indicated a Honda Goldwing motorcycle was traveling southbound on Spencer Street and approaching a curve in the roadway at Santa Anita Drive. The motorcyclist failed to negotiate the curve and left the roadway to the right. The motorcycle then struck a large tree ejecting the motorcyclist.

Arriving medical personnel transported the motorcyclist to Sunrise Trauma for advanced medical intervention. Despite all efforts the motorcyclist succumbed to the injuries he sustained from the collision and was pronounced deceased by medical personnel at Sunrise Trauma.

This collision remains under investigation by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department's Collision Investigation Section.
