***This was a vehicle versus motorcycle fatal traffic collision that resulted in the death of the motorcyclist. The motorcyclist's death marks the 51st traffic-related fatality in the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department's jurisdiction for the year 2025. ***

On April 9, 2025, at approximately 5:35 a.m., a vehicle versus motorcycle fatal traffic collision occurred on W. Russell Road and S. Lindell Road. Evidence at the collision scene and witness statements indicated a Harley Davidson motorcycle was traveling westbound on W. Russell Road approaching S. Lindell Road with no traffic control devices. A Nissan Altima was traveling southbound on S. Lindell Road approaching W. Russell Road where a posted stop sign was located on the northwest corner of the intersection. The driver of the Nissan Altima failed to stop for the posted stop sign entering the intersection and the path of the Harley Davidson. A collision occurred when the front of the Harley Davidson struck the right side of the Nissan Altima near the front tire. The motorcyclist was ejected from the Harley Davidson and came to rest in the westbound travel lanes on W. Russell Road west of S. Lindell Road.

Arriving medical personnel began life-saving measures to the motorcyclist, but despite their efforts the motorcyclist succumbed to the injuries he sustained from the collision and was pronounced deceased at the collision scene.

The driver of the Nissan Altima remained at the collision scene and did not display any signs of impairment.

This collision remains under investigation by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department's Collision Investigation Section.
