Update – Suspect Arrested

 Through the course of the investigation, detectives identified 39-year-old Calvin Beasley Jr. as the suspect in this case. On July 4, 2025, Beasley was arrested and booked into the Clark County Detention Center for Open Murder with a Deadly Weapon.

On June 18, 2025, at approximately 2:16 p.m., LVMPD Communications received a report of a male that had been shot in the 3600 block of South Indios Avenue. Officers arrived in the area and observed a male suffering from an apparent gunshot wound in the roadway. Officers immediately rendered aid until medical personnel arrived. The male was transported to a local hospital where he was later pronounced deceased.

Homicide detectives were notified and responded to the scene. Through the course of the investigation, they learned the victim was in a verbal altercation with another individual. When the victim was walking away, the suspect shot him and then fled the area. This is an ongoing investigation.

The identification of the victim, as well as the cause and manner of death, can be obtained through the Clark County Coroner’s Office.
