LVMPD Detectives Investigate Fatal Shooting

On July 9, 2025, at approximately 12:38 a.m., LVMPD Communications received reports of a shooting in the 6000 block of Coja Street. Patrol officers responded and located a man suffering from an apparent gunshot wound inside a residence. Medical personnel responded, and the victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Through the course of the investigation, LVMPD Homicide detectives learned the victim was inside a garage when a white Dodge Charger with a black front bumper drove through the neighborhood multiple times. At some point several subjects exited the vehicle and a shooting occurred. The suspects fled prior to police arriving, this remains an ongoing investigation.
The identification of the victim, as well as the cause and manner of death, can be obtained through the Clark County Coroner’s Office.
