Pedestrian's death marks the 95th traffic-related fatality in the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department's jurisdiction for the year 2025.
On July 17 2025, at approximately 4:02 AM, a vehicle versus pedestrian collision occurred on South Decatur Boulevard south of West Harmon Avenue. Evidence at the collision scene determined that a Toyota Rav4 was traveling south on Decatur Boulevard south of Harmon Avenue. A pedestrian was crossing Decatur Boulevard outside of a marked or implied crosswalk. A collision occurred when the pedestrian crossed the path of the Toyota. The front of the Toyota contacted the pedestrian, projecting him onto the roadway.
Arriving medical personnel transported the pedestrian to UMC Trauma with substantial injuries. The driver of the Toyota remained at the scene of the collision and showed no signs of impairment.
The Clark County Office of the Coroner / Medical Examiner notified the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department's Collision Investigation Section that the pedestrian succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at UMC Hospital on July 24, 2025.
This collision remains under investigation by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department's Collision Investigation Section.
