Critical Injury SUV versus pedestrian traffic collision.
On July 27th, 2025, at approximately 4:01 a.m., a critical injury hit-and-run SUV versus pedestrian traffic collision occurred at the intersection of Bonanza Road and City Parkway. Evidence at the scene and surveillance footage indicated that a 2013-2017 Nissan Pathfinder was traveling westbound on Bonanza Road, approaching City Parkway. A pedestrian, in a wheelchair, pushing a shopping cart, was crossing southbound across Bonanza Road in the marked crosswalk when the pedestrian signal displayed the “don’t walk” symbol. A collision occurred when the Nissan’s front right impacted the pedestrian and projected her onto the roadway surface.
After the collision, the Nissan and its driver fled the scene without stopping, heading westbound on Bonanza Road and then northbound on Martin Luther King Boulevard.
The pedestrian was transported by ground ambulance to UMC Trauma with injuries determined to be life-threatening by Trauma Staff.
This collision remains under investigation by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department’s Collision Investigation Section.
