One Arrested After Deadly Shooting

On July 27, 2025, at approximately 5:27 p.m., LVMPD dispatch received a report of a shooting in the 7800 block of West Ford Avenue. Officers arrived and located two female adults suffering from apparent gunshot wounds inside a residence. Medical personnel arrived and pronounced one of the individuals deceased at the scene. The other victim was transported to a nearby hospital in critical condition.

LVMPD Homicide detectives were notified and responded to the scene. Through the course of the investigation, it was determined that 26-year-old Jacob Lister shot his mother and sister during an altercation.

Lister was arrested near the scene and transported to the Clark County Detention Center where he was booked for Open Murder with a Deadly Weapon and Attempted Murder with a Deadly Weapon.

The identification of the victim, as well as the cause and manner of death, can be obtained through the Clark County Coroner’s Office.
