 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

E-Bicyclist’s Death Marks the 100th Traffic-Related Fatality in LVMPD’s Jurisdiction.

On August 2, 2025, an E-bike versus vehicle collision occurred at the intersection of East Baltimore Street and Frank Street. Evidence at the scene, as well as video of the collision, indicated that a 2023 Chevrolet 3500 was traveling eastbound on Baltimore Street in the single travel lane (T1). A Montta All-Terrain E-bike was being ridden northbound on Frank Street, also in the single travel lane (T1).

A collision occurred when the E-bike rider failed to stop at the posted stop sign and entered the intersection, striking the right side of the Chevrolet. The impact redirected the E-bike rider eastward, where he subsequently collided with a parked and unoccupied 2007 Toyota Camry.

The bicyclist was transported to UMC Trauma by ambulance, where, despite medical intervention, he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased. The driver of the Chevrolet remained at the scene and did not exhibit any indicators of impairment.

This collision remains under investigation by the LVMPD Collision Investigation Section.
