Pedestrian's death marks the 106th traffic-related fatality in the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department's jurisdiction for the year 2025.

On August 21, 2025, at approximately 9:08 PM, a vehicle versus pedestrian collision occurred on Tropicana Avenue east of Koval Lane. Evidence at the collision scene indicated a pedestrian was crossing Tropicana Avenue east of Koval Lane from north to south outside of a marked or implied crosswalk. A 2014 Lexus IS was traveling east on Tropicana Avenue east of Koval Lane. A collision occurred when the pedestrian crossed the path of the Lexus. The left front of the Lexus contacted the pedestrian, projecting him eastbound onto the roadway. The driver of the Lexus brought the vehicle to a controlled stop. The driver of the Lexus remained at the collision scene and did not show any signs of impairment.

Arriving medical personnel transported the pedestrian to Sunrise Hospital with injuries determined to be life-threatening. 

Despite medical intervention, the pedestrian succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased.

This collision remains under investigation by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department's Collision Investigation Section.
