***Vehicle versus fixed object traffic collision that caused the death of the passenger. The passenger's death marks the 107th traffic-related fatality in the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department's jurisdiction for the year 2025.***

On August 23, 2025, at approximately 2:10 a.m., a single vehicle versus fixed object fatal traffic collision occurred on S. Valley View Boulevard at W. Harmon Avenue. Evidence at the collision scene and witness statements indicated a 2015 Nissan Altima was traveling southbound on S. Valley View Boulevard approaching W. Harmon Avenue. For an unknown reason, the Nissan Altima left the roadway to the right, and a collision occurred when the front right of the Nissan struck a traffic control signal support.

Arriving medical personnel transported the passenger to UMC Trauma for advanced medical care. Despite all lifesaving measures, the passenger succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced deceased by medical personnel at UMC.

The driver of the Nissan Altima showed signs of impairment and was arrested for DUI-related charges. This collision remains under investigation by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department's Collision Investigation Section.
