Motorcyclist is the 108th traffic-related fatality for 2025.
On August 25, 2025, at approximately 3:33 PM, a fatal vehicle collision occurred at South Jones Boulevard at Eldora Avenue. Evidence at the collision scene and statements from witnesses indicate that a 2018 Mercedes-Benz GL 450 was traveling eastbound on Eldora Avenue at South Jones Boulevard. A 2007 Honda CBR 1000 traveled southbound on South Jones Boulevard, approaching Eldora Avenue. A collision occurred when the Mercedes-Benz left the posted stop sign and conducted a left turn into the path of the approaching Honda. The
collision ejected the Honda’s rider as the Mercedes-Benz came to a controlled stop.
Emergency medical personnel arrived and transported the Honda’s rider to University Medical Center’s Trauma Center, where, despite all life-saving efforts, he succumbed to his injuries. The Mercedes-Benz drive remained at the scene of the collision and was not impaired. The Honda rider’s death marked the 108th traffic-related fatality in the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department’s jurisdiction for 2025. The collision remains under investigation by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department’s Collision Investigation Section.
