Update – Suspect Arrested

 Through the course of the investigation, detectives were able to identify a 17-year-old male juvenile as a suspect in this case. On August 22, 2025, officers located the juvenile and took him into custody. He was booked into the Clark County Detention Center for Open Murder with a Deadly Weapon.

On August 5, 2025, at approximately 10:06 p.m., LVMPD dispatch received reports of a shooting in the 5600 block of North Bonita Vista Street. Arriving officers located a teenager suffering from apparent gunshot wounds in front of a residence. Officers immediately rendered aid until medical personnel arrived who then pronounced the victim deceased at the scene.

This is an ongoing investigation being led by the LVMPD Homicide Section.

The identification of the victim, as well as the cause and manner of death, will be released by the Clark County Coroner’s Office.
