FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
On September 1, 2025, at approximately 8:24 p.m., a single-vehicle collision occurred at the intersection of East Hacienda Avenue and University Center Drive. Evidence at the scene indicated that a 2006 Audi TT was traveling westbound on Hacienda Avenue at a high rate of speed as it approached the intersection with University Center Drive. The driver of the Audi failed to decrease speed and struck a block wall. The collision resulted in severe damage to the entire vehicle.
The driver of the Audi sustained mortal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver’s death will not be counted as a traffic-related fatality until the Clark County Coroner’s Office determines the cause and manner of death.
This collision remains under investigation by the LVMPD Collision Investigation Section.
