Shooting Leaves One Dead
On September 15, 2025, at approximately 1:03 a.m., LVMPD Communications received a report of a shooting at a park located in the 4400 block of East Washington Avenue. Officers arrived and found a male suffering from apparent gunshot wounds in the basketball court area. Medical personnel pronounced the victim deceased at the scene.
Two additional persons suffering from gunshot wounds were located near the scene as more officers arrived. They were both transported to a local hospital in critical condition.
Through the course of the investigation, detectives learned the victim was sitting on a bench with a woman. At some point, a car pulled up and two male juveniles exited the vehicle armed with firearms. The suspects attempted to rob one of the victims and an exchange of gunfire occurred. The suspects fled in the vehicle and were stopped by police prior to leaving the park.
Three juveniles have been identified as suspects in this case and will be booked accordingly for multiple felony charges to include open murder.
The identification of the victim, as well as the cause and manner of death, can be obtained through the Clark County Coroner’s Office.
