FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
On September 26, 2025, at approximately 2:39 a.m., a single electronic scooter collision occurred on North Casino Center Boulevard, north of East Ogden Avenue. Evidence at the collision scene and surveillance video indicated the rider of the scooter made a wide right turn from Ogden Avenue onto northbound Casino Center Boulevard. The rider overcorrected to the right, then overcorrected to the left to avoid the east curb line. The rider traveled diagonally across the only northbound travel lane and struck a raised median. The rider was ejected from the scooter and came to rest on the roadway.
Arriving medical personnel transported the rider to the UMC Trauma Center with life-threatening injuries. The rider was later admitted to the hospital for his injuries.
This case remains under investigation by the LVMPD’s Collision Investigation Section.
