On October 16, 2025, at approximately 3:24 a.m., Las Vegas Fire and Resue was dispatched to the 6200 block of Carmen Boulevard in reference to a house fire. Firefighters made entry into the residence and located a male inside suffering from severe burns. Firefighters rendered aid to the male but unfortunately, he was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Fire Department Investigators located blood inside of the residence and believed the fire had been intentionally set. Based on that information, LVMPD homicide detectives were notified and responded to the scene to assist.

Through the course of the investigation, detectives learned the victim had been shot prior to the fire starting and the death was determined to be a homicide. This is an ongoing investigation.

The identification of the victim, as well as the cause and manner of death, will be released by the Clark County Coroner’s Office.

Anyone with any information about this incident is urged to contact the LVMPD Homicide Section by phone at 702-828-3521, or by email at homicide@lvmpd.com. To remain anonymous, contact Crime Stoppers by phone at 702-385-5555, or on the internet at www.crimestoppersofnv.com.
