***Vehicle versus Pedestrian collision results in life-threatening injuries***

On October 21, 2025, at approximately 6:41 p.m., a vehicle versus pedestrian collision occurred on South Nellis Boulevard south of East Desert Inn Road. Evidence at the collision scene indicated that a 2012 Honda CR-V was traveling southbound on South Nellis Boulevard in the middle travel lane. A pedestrian was crossing west to east across South Nellis Boulevard south of East Desert Inn Road outside of a marked or implied crosswalk.

A collision occurred when the pedestrian entered the southbound lanes of travel into the path of the Honda. The pedestrian was struck by the front of the Honda and was projected forward onto the roadway.

The pedestrian was transported to Sunrise Hospital and was admitted with life-threatening injuries. The driver of the Honda remained at the scene, cooperated with the investigation, and did not exhibit indicators of impairment.

This collision remains under investigation by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department's Collision Investigation Section.
