 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

On October 21, 2025, at approximately 4:35 p.m., LVMPD Communications received a call for a welfare check at a residence located in the 11000 block of Glacier View Avenue. Officers arrived and did not get an answer at the front door of the home. The officers then made their way to the backyard and through a window observed a male lying motionless on a bed. They made entry into the residence and located an elderly male and female both suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Medical was summoned and pronounced both individuals deceased. 

Homicide detectives responded to the scene and took over the investigation.

Detectives learned both individuals were married and had recently been informed that their medical conditions had worsened. Detectives believe the elderly male shot his wife then himself. This is an ongoing investigation.

The identification of the decedents, as well as the cause and manner of death, will be released by the Clark County Coroner’s Office.
