Update – Suspect Arrested
Through the course of the investigation, detectives were able to identify 41-year-old Louis Watson as the suspect in this case. Watson was already in custody at the Clark County Detention Center on unrelated charges. On October 22, 2025, he was rebooked for Open Murder with a Deadly Weapon.

On October 7, 2025, at approximately 6:30 a.m., LVMPD dispatch received a report of a male stabbed in the 4700 block of Happy Valley Avenue. Arriving officers located a male suffering from an apparent stab wound outside a travel trailer. Officers immediately rendered aid until medical personnel arrived and pronounced the victim deceased at the scene.
This is an ongoing investigation led by the LVMPD Homicide Section.
The identification of the victim, as well as the cause and manner of death, will be released by the Clark County Coroner’s Office.
