Delayed fatal marks 135th traffic-related fatality for 2025.

On August 19th, 2025, at approximately 6:44 a.m., a two-vehicle traffic collision occurred at the intersection of Lake Mead and Jones Boulevards. A Preliminary Collision Investigation conducted by LVMPD Traffic Officer N. Traveller determined a 2020 Nissan Rogue was turning left from northbound Jones to westbound Lake Mead Boulevard when the traffic signal displayed a green turn arrow. A 1993 Isuzu Pickup westbound on Lake Mead Boulevard failed to stop for a red traffic signal and impacted the Nissan Rogue. After the collision, both drivers were transported by ground ambulance to the hospital with injuries determined to be non-life-threatening. Considering the extent of injuries at that time, the LVMPD Fatal Detail was not requested and did not respond to the collision scene.

On November 5th, 2025, the Clark County Office of the Coroner Medical Examiner contacted the LVMPD Fatal Detail and advised that the Isuzu's driver had succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased on September 4th, 2025. A subsequent Postmortem Examination determined that the death resulted from the traffic collision.

The driver's death marked the 135th traffic-related fatality in the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department's jurisdiction in 2025. The collision remains under investigation by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department's Collision Investigation Section.
