***Driver succumbs to injuries sustained in collision, resulting in 139th traffic-related fatality***

On November 2, 2025, at approximately 11:41 PM, a fatal vehicle collision occurred at Harmon Avenue and McLeod Drive. Evidence at the collision scene and witness statements indicate that a 2010 Hyundai Santa Fe traveled eastbound on Harmon Avenue, approaching McLeod Drive. A 2001 Oldsmobile Alero traveled northbound on McLeod Drive, approaching Harmon Avenue. A collision occurred when the Oldsmobile entered the four-way stop intersection while the Hyundai was approaching and failed to stop at the posted stop sign. The Hyundai entered the intersection and struck the Oldsmobile. The collision ejected the Oldsmobile’s driver onto the roadway.

Emergency medical personnel transported the driver to Sunrise Hospital’s Trauma Center, where he was admitted in critical but stable condition. Due to the reported injuries, the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department’s Fatal Detail did not respond. On November 11, 2025, the Clark County Office of the Coroner / Medical Examiner notified the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department’s Fatal Detail that, despite all life-saving efforts, the driver of the Oldsmobile succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased. His death is the 139th traffic-related fatality in the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department’s jurisdiction for 2025. The collision remains under investigation by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department’s Collision Investigation Section.
