Shooting in Parking Lot Leaves One Dead
On November 13, 2025, at approximately 1:17 a.m., LVMPD Communications received a report of a shooting near a business located in the 4100 block of South Sandhill Road. Officers arrived and located a male suffering from apparent gunshot wounds in the parking lot. Medical personnel pronounced the victim deceased at the scene.
Through the course of the investigation, detectives learned the victim had been in a verbal argument with the suspect, later identified as 39-year-old Alexander Edwards. During the argument Edwards produced a firearm and shot the victim. Edwards was taken into custody by arriving patrol officers without incident.
Edwards was transported to CCDC, where he was booked for Open Murder with a Deadly Weapon.
This is an ongoing investigation led by the LVMPD Homicide Section.
The identification of the victim, as well as the cause and manner of death, can be obtained through the Clark County Coroner’s Office.
