FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
On November 13, 2025, at approximately 10:36 a.m., LVMPD Communications received a report of an explosion that had occurred at 2:19 a.m., in front of a business in the 300 block of Convention Center Drive.
Through the course of the investigation, investigators determined that two males arrived at the business, one on foot and one on a scooter. One suspect approached the business with a package. He placed the package in front of the door to the business and appeared to light a fuse. Both suspects then quickly fled the area. A few minutes later the package exploded.
Investigators were able to identify one of the suspects as 35-year-old John Navarro. On November 15, 2025, Navarro was located and taken into custody. He was booked into the Clark County Detention Center for:
- Possession, Manufacture, Dispose of an Explosive Device
- Arson, First Degree
- Use Explosive Device to Damage/Destroy Property
- Conspiracy to Commit Arson, First Degree
- Carrying Concealed Weapon without Permit
- Possession of Controlled Susbtance – Flnztrpm/GHB/Precursor
- Possession of Stolen Vehicle
- Own/Operate Vehicle Chop Shop
