***Pedestrian’s death marks 141st traffic-related fatality.***
On November 17th, 2025, at approximately 5:18 p.m., a fatal vehicle versus pedestrian traffic collision occurred on Lake Mead Boulevard west of Concord Street. Evidence at the scene indicated that a 2009 Nissan Sentra was traveling west on Lake Mead Boulevard, in a construction zone, in the single westbound travel lane. West of Concord Street, a pedestrian was crossing northbound across Lake Mead Boulevard outside of a marked crosswalk. A collision occurred when the pedestrian crossed the Nissan’s travel path. The driver applied the vehicle’s brakes and swerved to avoid the pedestrian, but a collision was imminent.
The Nissan’s driver remained at the collision scene and showed no signs of impairment during the on-scene investigation.
Responding Emergency Medical Personnel determined the pedestrian was beyond resuscitation and would not be transported to the hospital from the scene. The pedestrian’s death marked the 141st traffic-related fatality in the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department’s jurisdiction in 2025.
This collision remains under investigation by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department’s Collision Investigation Section.
