Woman Killed by Boyfriend

On December 1, 2025, at approximately 8:30 p.m., LVMPD Communications received reports of gunfire at an apartment complex in the 4200 block of Arville Street. Officers arrived and located a female suffering from apparent gunshot wounds in the parking lot. Officers at the scene rendered aid until medical personnel arrived. Unfortunately, the victim was pronounced deceased.

Through the course of the investigation, detectives determined that 41-year-old Richard Watson had shot his girlfriend and fled the scene prior to the police arriving. Investigators were later able to locate Watson and take him into custody. He was booked into the Clark County Detention Center for Open Murder with a Deadly Weapon.

The identification of the victim, as well as the cause and manner of death, will be released by the Clark County Coroner’s Office.
