Hit and run collision results in pedestrians death.
On December 31, 2025, at approximately 6:15 PM, a fatal vehicle collision occurred on Boulder Highway, south of Whitney Avenue. Evidence at the scene and video surveillance indicate that a dark-colored sedan traveled northbound on Boulder Highway, approaching Whitney Avenue. A pedestrian traveled southbound in the storage lane of Boulder Highway, south of Whitney Avenue, and south of the marked crosswalk. A collision occurred when the pedestrian entered the right travel lane into the path of the approaching sedan. The collision redirected the pedestrian northward onto the roadway. The sedan then continued northbound, failing to stop.
Emergency medical personnel arrived and transported the pedestrian to Sunrise Hospital’s Trauma Center. Despite all life-saving efforts, the pedestrian succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased. The pedestrian’s death will not be counted as a traffic-related fatality until the Clark County Office of the Coroner / Medical Examiner concludes its investigation as to the cause and manner of death. The collision remains under investigation by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department’s Collision Investigation Section.
