Officer Involved in January 6, 2026
OIS Identified
The officer involved in the January 6, 2026, officer-involved shooting has been identified as Officer Tristen Taylor. This incident occurred in the 9200 block of West Russell Road.
Officer Taylor is 28 years old and has been employed with LVMPD since 2024. He is currently assigned to the Community Safety Division, Summerlin Area Command.
He has been placed on routine paid administrative leave pending the outcome of a review of this incident.
