Deputy Constable Involved in January 6, 2026
OIS Identified
The deputy constable involved in the January 6, 2026, officer-involved shooting has been identified as Sergeant Mark Ruesch. This incident occurred in the 6600 block of South Sandhill Road.
Sergeant Ruesch is 63 years old and has been employed with The Office of the Ex-Officio Constable for the Las Vegas Township since 2017.
Ruesch is an independent contractor, and he will not be assigned any new work while the investigation is ongoing.
