On February 24, 2026, a representative of the Clark County Office of the Coroner/Medical Examiner contacted the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department's Collision Investigation Section and advised that the pedestrian succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased by medical staff at PAM Specialty Hospital on February 24, 2026.
The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department adheres to the fatal-collision classification standards established by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), as set forth in the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) Manual and the Fatality Analysis Reporting System (FARS) Manual. Under these federal guidelines, a death is classified as a traffic fatality only when it occurs within 30 days of the collision. Deaths attributable to crash-related injuries occurring outside this 30-day period are fully investigated by the Collision Investigation Detail; however, they are not assigned a fatal number for federal reporting purposes.
This collision remains under investigation by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department's Collision Investigation Section.

Pedestrian suffers from life-threatening injuries after being struck by a vehicle.
On January 24, 2026, at approximately 6:18 AM, a vehicle versus pedestrian collision occurred at the intersection of University Center Drive and Naples Drive. Evidence at the scene and surveillance video indicated a 2023 Toyota Camry was traveling northbound on University Center Drive, approaching the intersection of Naples Drive. A pedestrian was walking in a marked crosswalk across University Center Drive on the north side of Naples Drive, from east to west, entering the path of the Toyota. A collision occurred when the front left of the Toyota contacted the pedestrian. The pedestrian was projected in a northwest direction onto the roadway.
Emergency medical personnel arrived and transported the pedestrian to Sunrise Hospital with significant injuries. Upon his arrival at the hospital, medical staff determined the pedestrian's injuries were life-threatening.
The driver of the Toyota remained at the collision scene, claimed no injuries, and did not show signs of impairment.
This collision remains under investigation by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department's Collision Investigation Section.
