***Motorcyclist suffers fatal injuries as a result of a vehicle versus motorcycle collision. This motorcyclist’s death marks the 34th fatality for the year 2026.***

On March 24, 2026, at approximately 4:05 p.m., a vehicle versus motorcycle traffic collision occurred at the intersection of Jeffreys Street and St. Rose Parkway. Evidence at the collision scene, along with witness statements, indicates a 2012 Harley Davidson Dyna Super Glide was northbound on Jeffreys Street approaching the intersection with St. Rose Parkway. A 2021 Hyundai Elantra was southbound on Jeffreys Street approaching the intersection with St. Rose Parkway. The traffic signal was displaying a flashing yellow arrow. A collision occurred when the Hyundai made a left turn into the path of the Harley-Davidson motorcycle. The Harley-Davidson impacted the right-front fender of the Hyundai, ejecting the rider onto the roadway.

Emergency medical personnel responded and transported the rider of the Harley-Davidson for critical injuries. Despite all life-saving measures, the driver of the Harley-Davidson succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at Sunrise Hospital.

The driver of the Hyundai sustained minor injuries, remained at the collision scene, and showed no signs of impairment.

This collision remains under investigation by the LVMPD’s Collision Investigation Section.
