Transaction Meeting Leads to Homicide
Update – Suspect Arrested
Through the course of the investigation, detectives were able to identify 18-year-old Miles Spivey as a suspect in this case. On April 3, 2026, Spivey was taken into custody and booked into the Clark County Detention Center for multiple felony charges to include Open Murder with the use of a Deadly Weapon, Robbery with a Deadly Weapon and three counts of Kidnapping 1st Degree with a Deadly Weapon.

On March 30, 2026, at approximately 9:45 p.m., LVMPD Communications received a report of a female and male who had been shot at an apartment complex in the 5800 block of Sky Pointe Drive. Patrol officers arrived and located a male and a female both suffering from apparent gunshot wounds and began rendering aid. Medical personnel were summoned and pronounced the male deceased at the scene. The female was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The LVMPD Homicide Section was notified and responded to the scene.
Through the course of the investigation, detectives learned the two victims met with two males at the apartment complex to complete a transaction. During the transaction, the males produced firearms and fired several rounds toward the victims. The suspects fled the area before officers arrived.
The identification of the deceased, as well as the cause and manner of death, can be obtained through the Clark County Coroner’s Office.
