Officer Involved in April 25, 2026
OIS Identified
The officer involved in the April 25, 2026, officer-involved shooting has been identified as Officer Alex Pena. This incident occurred near the intersection of West Harmon Avenue and South Arville Street.
Officer Pena is 26 years old and has been employed with LVMPD since 2024. He is currently assigned to the Tourist Safety Division, Spring Valley Area Command.
He has been placed on routine paid administrative leave pending the outcome of a review of this incident.
