 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

On April 25, 2026, at approximately 5:08 p.m., an e-bicycle/e-dirt bike versus a fixed object collision occurred at Lourdes Avenue and Paseo Del Prado. Evidence at the scene and video surveillance indicated that an unknown e-bicycle/e-dirt bike was traveling westbound on Lourdes Avenue and failed to slow to yield to the T-intersection. The e-bicycle/e-dirt bike continued into the intersection, veering to the right when it struck a concrete curb/sidewalk and then a cinderblock wall. The e-bicycle/e-dirt bike and rider were projected into the wall, then onto the sidewalk to the right, and came to rest on the sidewalk and roadway.

The e-bicycle/e-dirt bike rider was transported to the UMC Trauma Center by ambulance. Despite all life-saving measures, the rider succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased.

A fatal number will not be assigned to this case until it is reviewed at the state and federal levels. This collision remains under investigation by the LVMPD Collision Investigation Section.
