Domestic Dispute Leads to Homicide

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
On April 28, 2026, at approximately 3:04 a.m., LVMPD Communications received a call for service reference a female needing medical assistance in the 4300 block of Esmeralda Avenue. Medical personnel responded and located the female inside a residence. She was pronounced deceased at the scene. After observing the victim, they immediately requested police assistance. Patrol officers arrived and took a male, later identified as 38-year-old Roelmer Sanchez-Garrido who was the victim’s husband, into custody.
The LVMPD Homicide Section was notified and responded. Detectives discovered the victim and Sanchez-Garrido were in an argument before it became a physical altercation that led to the victim’s death.
The identification of the decedent, as well as the cause and manner of death, can be obtained through the Clark County Coroner’s Office.
