***A Single Vehicle vs. Fixed Object collision results in life-threatening injuries***

On May 24, 2026, at approximately 12:10 a.m., a single vehicle collision with a fixed object occurred on Rancho Drive, south of Riverside Drive. Evidence at the scene and witness statements indicated that a silver Toyota Scion iM was traveling southbound on Rancho Drive, south of Riverside Drive. The Toyota failed to maintain its lane, veered left, collided with the center concrete median, and continued southbound. The front of the Toyota then struck a light pole and came to rest on the center median.

Emergency Medical Services immediately responded to the collision scene. The driver was transported to the University Medical Center Trauma Center for treatment of injuries. The driver was admitted and remains at the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the Toyota showed signs of impairment, and a DUI investigation was completed.

This collision remains under investigation by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department’s Collision Investigation Section.
