 Man Shot After Physical Altercation

On June 1, 2026, at approximately 4:02 a.m., LVMPD Communications received a call reporting that person had been shot near a business in the 4100 block of South Maryland Parkway. Patrol officers arrived and located an adult male in a parking lot suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Medical personnel transported the victim to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased. Patrol officers also located the suspect, later identified as 26-year-old Jordan Garcia.

The LVMPD Homicide Section was notified and responded to the scene. During the investigation, detectives learned that the victim and Garcia had been involved in an argument that escalated into a physical altercation. Garcia then produced a firearm and shot the victim.

Garcia was booked into the Clark County Detention Center for Open Murder with a Deadly Weapon.

The identification of the decedent, as well as the cause and manner of death, can be obtained through the Clark County Coroner’s Office.
