FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
On June 2, 2026, at approximately 1:03 p.m., LVMPD Communications received a call reporting that two males had been shot in the 4800 block of East Flamingo Road. Patrol officers arrived and located two males suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. The officers immediately began rendering aid. Medical personnel arrived and transported one victim to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The other victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.
While officers were securing the crime scene, they located a male inside a business who matched the description of the suspect. The male was later identified as 28-year-old Christopher Guerra and took him into custody.
The LVMPD Homicide Section was notified and responded to the scene. During the investigation, detectives learned that Guerra and both victims became involved in an argument in front of a business. During the argument, Guerra went and retrieved a firearm. The victims fled the area and Guerra chased after them while firing rounds at both victims.
Guerra was arrested and booked into the Clark County Detention Center for Open Murder with a Deadly Weapon, Attempt Murder, and Prohibited Person in Possession of a Firearm.
The identification of the decedent, as well as the cause and manner of death, can be obtained through the Clark County Coroner’s Office.
