COLLISION DETAILS:

A pedestrian sustained life-threatening injuries after being struck by an automobile while crossing outside of a crosswalk.

On June 26, 2026, at approximately 9:08 p.m., a critical injury vehicle versus pedestrian traffic collision occurred on West Flamingo Road, east of South New Forrest Drive. Evidence at the scene and witness statements indicated that a 2013 Toyota Highlander was traveling westbound on Flamingo Road, east of New Forrest Road in the right of three travel lanes (T3). A pedestrian was crossing Flamingo Road northbound outside of a marked or implied crosswalk. The pedestrian crossed in front of the Toyota. A collision occurred when the Toyota's front struck the pedestrian, causing the pedestrian to be projected onto the roadway.

Emergency medical services responded to the scene and transported the pedestrian to the University Medical Center (UMC) Trauma Center. Medical personnel determined that the pedestrian sustained life-threatening injuries. The driver of the Toyota remained at the scene of the collision and showed no signs of impairment.

This collision remains under investigation by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department’s Collision Investigation Section.
