Detectives Seek Public’s Assistance Identifying Animal Cruelty Suspect
Update – Suspect Arrested
Through the course of the investigation, detectives identified 62-year-old Guadalupe Camarillo Guarneros as the suspect in this case. On July 3, 2026, Camarillo Guarneros turned himself in at LVMPD Headquarters and was taken into custody. He was subsequently booked into the Clark County Detention Center on a charge of Willful/Malicious Torture, Maiming, or Killing of a Dog, Cat, or Animal.

On June 27, 2026, the LVMPD Animal Cruelty Section located a video on social media depicting a suspected animal cruelty incident. The video appears to show a white single-cab pickup truck pulling a dark-colored horse with white markings. According to neighbors, the horse was later found deceased in front of a residence in the 1300 block of Ringe Lane.
Detectives with the LVMPD Animal Cruelty Section have launched an investigation into the incident.
Investigators are asking for the public's help in identifying the owner of the horse and/or the driver(s) of the white single-cab pickup truck.
