On July 4, 2026, at approximately 9:44 p.m., a single-vehicle versus pedestrian collision occurred on East Sahara Avenue, east of South Van Patten Street. A collision occurred when the pedestrian entered the path of a 2025 GMC Sierra pickup truck traveling eastbound on East Sahara Avenue. The front of the GMC struck the pedestrian, projecting her onto the roadway. The driver of the GMC immediately brought his vehicle to a controlled stop east of the intersection.
