Motorcycle rider sustains life-threatening injuries in a multi-vehicle collision.

On July 7, 2026, at approximately 1:34 p.m., a life-threatening multi-vehicle collision occurred at the intersection of North Rampart Boulevard and Canyon Run Drive. Evidence at the collision scene and witness statements indicated that a 1998 Toyota Tacoma was traveling northbound on North Rampart Boulevard in the left-turn lane at Canyon Run Drive on a steady circular green signal. A 2018 Mercedes-Benz was behind the Toyota in the left-turn lane on North Rampart Boulevard. A 2025 Lexus was stopped at a red light eastbound on Canyon Run Drive at Rampart Boulevard in the left-turn lane. A 1996 Harley-Davidson FLHRI motorcycle was traveling southbound on North Rampart Boulevard approaching Canyon Run Drive in the middle of three travel lanes on a steady green
circular light. A collision occurred when the Toyota failed to yield to the Harley-Davidson on a permissive green circular light. The motorcycle's front struck the Toyota's front end at the intersection. The rider was separated from the Harley-Davidson and came to rest on the southwest corner of the intersection. The motorcycle was redirected to the east and came to rest after sliding into the front right of the Lexus. The Toyota was redirected to the southeast and came to rest after its front end collided with the Mercedes-Benz's front left bumper.

Emergency medical services responded to the scene and transported the driver of the Toyota and the motorcycle rider to University Medical Center's emergency and trauma unit. The motorcycle rider was admitted to UMC with life-threatening injuries, and the Toyota driver sustained minor injuries and was released from the hospital. The driver of the Toyota showed possible signs of impairment but also showed possible signs of a medical emergency.
The results of evidentiary and medical testing are pending.

This collision remains under investigation by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department's Collision Investigation Section.
