On July 30, 2026, at approximately 4:50 p.m., LVMPD Communications received a report of gunfire in the 100 block of Upland Boulevard. When officers arrived, they located a male suffering from an apparent gunshot wound in a vehicle that had collided with a tree. Officers immediately began rendering aid. Medical personnel transported the victim to a hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

As additional officers arrived, a description of a possible suspect was provided. An individual matching that description was located and detained. The individual was identified as 28-year-old Rodger Harrison.
